V2.5 Features

This updated version computes and displays the positions and movements of celestial bodies including the Sun, Moon, and planets. Noteworthy events such as stationary phases (beginning and end of retrograde motion), conjunctions (inferior and superior), oppositions, greatest elongations (both east and west), quadratures (east and west), perihelion, aphelion, and both ascending and descending nodes in planetary orbits are meticulously documented.

The star map is observer-centered, providing a perspective that shows northern and southern skies as well as the zenith. It features detailed constellations from both Korean and Western cultures.

Version 1.02 Overview

This iteration showcases a Gregorian calendar format within its comprehensive effective year range. Each day in the month table includes several significant metrics, such as solar day numbers corresponding to Gregorian dates, lunar month/day numbers, sexagenary day units (日辰 or 干支), and star letters representing the 28 mansions (二十八宿). This information has been utilized for over 5,000 years in both Korean and Chinese contexts.

The application also highlights the 24 solar terms along with times for new/full moons, occurrences of eclipses, and floating Julian day numbers for accuracy verification.

Upcoming Features for Android CAL20000

• Kusung (九星) Calendar and KiMoon (奇門) Calendar data will be included with relevant contextual information available in Korean. Note that this pertains to the period from 1880 to 2055.
• The application will display decade luck details alongside timing changes, augmented by precise values for celestial stems during each month.
• Inclusion of Korea Era (檀紀) and Buddha Era (佛紀).
